Flickr is excited to host a Spring Photowalk through San Francisco's Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park! We're going to tour the gardens, checking out the biodiversity and capturing the beautiful start to Spring. A Botanical Garden volunteer will educate us about the history of the gardens and about some of the most popular and unique blooms.
View their Flickr account and join their Group find out more about the plants that will be in bloom prior to the walk. Entry is free for all SF residents with a valid ID. For non-SF residents admission is $8.
We'll be giving away some free Flickr swag and, to top it all off, we're going to conclude the walk with a photo contest! At the end of the walk, everyone is invited to submit their best photos from the day using the tag #SFBGPhotowalk! Winners will be announced Wednesday, April 5 on the Flickr Blog and social media channels.

There are surreal qualities and innate intensities that become part of a photo when you get in someone’s face to capture the shot. Much like celeb paparazzi, street photographers carry an internal drive to capture candid images of unique characters and places. Gareth Bragdon, a 27-year old photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a street photographer worth watching.
Along with his older brother Gavin, 32, Gareth roams the streets of Edinburgh with his camera in one hand and flash trigger in the other. The Bragdon Brothers, both photography students in their last year at Edinburgh College, have developed a unique style to their street photography that has started getting the attention of major brands across Europe.
