I mostly stay at home I avoid going out unless its some urgent work,, last I took a local train from Bandra one can only use public transport if you are double vaccinated I carry a universal pass so no issue .
I got of at Sandhurst road to reach Imamwada to shoot the kite shops during the kite festival called Makar Sankranti a beautiful festival of the Hindus who fly kites and incidentally the kites are made by Muslims the thread is made with jagged glass known as manja and the Chinese ones are banned ,
All my life I have never flown a kite on the weight of the string of my thoughts I could soar and fly.
I met a good friend he was inspired by me took up photography and is a a passionate wild life photographer .
I shoot wildlife in an urban jungle that includes homeless abandoned unvaccinated denizens and their kids ,,I am happy with what I shoot If Anselm Adams was born in India he too would be shooting what I shoot .
I often sit and think of friends that passed away on Flickr leaving their stamp on my photography and memories Jeff Lamb Fred Miller many others friends I distanced myself because I did not agree with their thinking or what they shot .
I follow a handful I am not into groups nor into social media Instagram used to enhance my thoughts as a storyteller and I enjoyed Instagram live ..I am not on Facebook or Twitter ..
Just Flickr and You Tube to my American friends I watch a lot of old westerns and sometimes mixed martial arts and Shaw Bros Shaolin.
I dont watch Indian films even as a Bollywood film stylist a veteran since early 70s I did work for personal clothes of Mr Roger Moore he was in India to shoot Sea Wloves I would watch Jim Brown shooting for Grasshopper in a Chinese restaurant Shanghai at Colaba ..
I am losing my memory track...
So once again I wish you all the very best I lost a lot of good friends to the virus ,,and most hospitals due to the pandemic are no better than a butcher shop one of my Gurus is in Intensive care last one month .. and his family might have to sell some assets to pay the exorbitant bill..they are making one excuse or another not shifting him to a general ward from the Intensive he had a stroke and his son was naïve admitted him to a sevn star specialty hospital the closest to his house he is regretting it now his sister is in America ,
So this is life in the troubled waters of my backyard.
