This is my new set at Flickr.com in my series Hope And Hindutva - Message of Peace and Humanity and the last final segment of my Ganesha series I shot barfeeet from Lalbagh at 9.30 am I have just returned home from Do Tanki..

I wanted to leave early as my feet are in bad shape , but I pushed myself till Do Tanki to shoot the Hindu Muslim amity and the felicitation of Lalbagh Chya Raja by the Muslim community of Do Tanki led by my dear friend Sajid Khan and his team of Hindus and Muslims and VP Road Police Station Ekta Committee..

The Raja halts here for about 2 hours or so and the Raja was delayed due to a Ganpati mishap on the road near Chinchpokli..

I came to Lalbagh area for the Visarjan and shot the Parel Chya Raja and Ganesh Gully Chya Raja , I met friends , photographers from PSI my camera club..

And it was a nice chance nostalgic meeting, Dr Suvarna Gawde , Datta Sawant Ambika Mehara and Vinay Paralkar, I also met Vishwas Morye ..

But meeting Pratik Koli stylish dude meda photographer was a pleasant surprise.

I went to Ganesh Color Lab to meet my friend Hemant Sawant but he was shooting Lalbagh Chya Raja in 3 D his wife told me.


I could not find my Facebook friend Vikram so I tried my luck called up Raju Langewal my friend treasurer of Lalbagh Chya Raja , no luck, I managed to get into the Pandal enclosure .. but could not move inwards till a volunteer saw me and took me in so I shot Lalbagh Chya Raja moving out from the Pandal I could not shoot him coming out of the gate..

I shot with two cameras..

I dd not follow Lalbagh Chya Raja like I normally did , I shot him at strategic places on the route ..
The karyakartas volunteers gave me a lot of support , this is dedicated to them.

I met a hijra Jayshree from Gujrat like me she to pushed her way in the Pandal I l later shot her dancing at Chinchpokli.


At Chinchpokli I entered the Lalbagh Chya Raja cordon I was given prasad coconuts by Raju Langewal..

At Byculla I met another group of hijras and they are the ones I meet at Haji Malang , she offered me tea and she is a Muslim hijra but believes in Lalbagh Chya Raja she had bought a garland for the Raja I liked her devotion I gave her one of the prasad coconut she was filled with joy had tears in her eyes.

Than I met another group of hijras shot their pictures it rained a lot I had carried my umbrella I was lucky.

Than finally I came To Do Tanki shot Dongri Chya Raja Duncan Street Raja and finally Lalbagh Chya Raja , my legs were hurting so instead of moving to Kumbharwada I moved out from JJ end could find no cabs finally took a cab till Sion ,the cabdriver was kind he finally dropped me to Bandra.

And the rest of my story is through pictures shot in the rain...
