LEONTYNE PRICE:
Accomplishments have no color

MARIAN WRIGHT EDELMAN:
If you as parents cut corners, your children will too. If you lie, they will too. If you spend all your money on yourselves and tithe no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won't either. And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out

ROBERT F. KENNEDY:
But suppose God is black? What if we go to Heaven and we, all our lives, have treated the Negro as an inferior, and God is there, and we look up and He is not white? What then is our response?

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.:
I look forward confidently to the day when all who work for a living will be one with no thought to their separateness as Negroes, Jews, Italians or any other distinctions. This will be the day when we bring into full realization the American dream -- a dream yet unfulfilled. A dream of equality of opportunity, of privilege and property widely distributed; a dream of a land where men will not take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few; a dream of a land where men will not argue that the color of a man's skin determines the content of his character; a dream of a nation where all our gifts and resources are held not for ourselves alone, but as instruments of service for the rest of humanity; the dream of a country where every man will respect the dignity and worth of the human personality

Racism exists
Only we pretend it does not
We perpetrate it by our silence
We watch racial attacks
We keep quiet
We are eunuchs
In our impotency

Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color. ~Author Unknown

Racial superiority is a mere pigment of the imagination. ~Author Unknown

There is a strange kind of tragic enigma associated with the problem of racism. No one, or almost no one, wishes to see themselves as racist; still racism persists, real and tenacious.

ALBERT MEMMI, Racism

Racism has been an integral component of American culture since its founding upon the genocide of Native Americans, and the forced slavery of Africans and Afro-Americans.

VINCENT F. ROCCHIO, Reel Racism

Racism rests upon and functions as a kind of seesaw: the persecutor rises by debasing and inferiorizing his victim.

ALBERT MEMMI, Racism

we are slaves of pigmentation
our skin our worldy fascination
our hate for the other mans skin
a biblical revealation
yes the browns the blacks
under the domination of a
White Gods own White Nation
on the soul of the colored man
wounds scars and lacerations
several other brow beating
abominations
yes the dark man is angry
on the verge of revolt
uhuru he is loosing
his ancestral patience
racialism the most hated
mans own wicked creation
unjustified horrifying
human aberration

when a black man abuses his right
unduly with the white race fight
this is reverse racism alright
an excuse to vindicate himself
than he becomes a worst racist than white
using his color to dominate his might
yes at every stray remark he gets uptight
at the end of his dicolored soul
a terrorising tunnel
he sees no light
this is his agony
this is his unending plight
broken wings
ending his poetic flight
two wrongs dont make one right

This poem is dedicated to Mr Ray Lucero..without him I dont think I could have seen the world of racism as clearly as I do now..
even the word Reverse Racism.. is his coinage.. in a message to me this evening...

on the martryed grave
of the white supremacist racist whore
grow flowers of peace
yes she is finally laid to rest
her racist hatred buried with her
on the wet crease
wanton weariness of
hate filled breeze
she was born out of bigotry
she had no one to please
she serviced all men
her body on lease
a burnt out cok tease
her whiteness corroding
her soul filled
inherited disease
blue blood genetic
from English deportees
hate racism love poetry
she did predecease
tears from the dryness
of her soul she could not squeeze
