I had missed the inaugural day press meet photo shoot of Lalbagh Chya Raja on 16 Sept 2012.
This morning I decided I must go and shoot the Raja come what may, and I took a cab reached Lalbagh by 9.30 am, I went towards the Press entrance and showed my Bandra Times Press card , but the youngster surprised me by pulling out my black gold embossed visiting card from his pocket , he was a photo enthusiast smiled and let me in..
I have been shooting Lalbagh Chya Raja fo many years but in my usual colorful turban and dress but of late I try to look human decent presentable ..somehow cops dont like turbans specially my kind of turbans ..I shot Lalbagh Chya Raja from below , from the press enclosure and from the side entrance too..
After I had shot the Raja the crowds the long winding queues street scenes , I moved to my friend Hemants Ganesh Color lab , I was totally drenched tired dehydrated ..
From Hemants studio I introduced myself to Mumbai Chya Raja officials of Ganesh Gully ..I shot Ganesh Gully extensively..I was barefeet and from there I crossed the road introduced myself to the President of Tejukaya Chya Raja Ganesh Mandal , they were just about open the curtains I shot Tejukaya and from here had a single batatawda pav , and shot some street scenes took a cab home ..totally drenched in my sweat ...And this is my new humble offering to lovers of Lord Ganesha and the quintessential Ganesha festival in Mumbai..
