I was awake all night posting the Nokia App Tasting Meet of Indibloggers that I shot last evening hosted by Master Chef Vikas Khanna and Tech Guru Rajiv Makhni at Taj Lands End , I am a member of Indiblogger forum of Indianbloggers , and I went to sleep at 4 am got up at 7 am with a drastic change in my dress code and rushed to the Skywalk Bandra to shoot the quitessential Eid Ul Fitr Namaz on the road opposite the Bandra station.
The namaz is hosted by the Sunni Jamat Station Road Mosque.
I wore slippers normally I shoot barefeet to respect the namazis praying .. down below,but I have blisters on my feet and serious health problems .. I wore a quilted cotton sleeveless bundi white Italian linen shirt and a shalwar made out of 12 mtrs of muslin..
I am a Dam Madar Malang I wore my turban and a pocket square in the bundi completed my look..
I met one of my gurus Mr PK Bhatia who shot this picture.
I also met an English couple Susan and Nathan from London shooting this namaz and it made me happy that they came here inspired by my pictures of this namaz they saw on the Internet.. Flickr.com my photostream.
I shot most of the namz from the skywalk but at the lag end went down below to shoot the namaz.. this is a very lengthy series..my pictorial tribute to the peaceful Muslims of Bandra .. and due to the recent happenings at Azad Maidan there was heavy police bandobast , but everything was normal.. the Bandra Muslims are highly disciplined and there was a feeling of hope and harmony all around...
The Bandra Khar Police were on alert but courteous to us press folks too..
