This is my new set I shot this evening from 4 pm till 9 pm.. barefeet .
My son Saif Shakir dropped me at the Marriamman Temple Macchimar or Fishermans Colony Mahim.
The folks here were surprised why I had not come in the morning to shoot the animal slaughter ritual, but I was actually waiting for a call from them which never came so I did not go.
But I would not miss the cheek piercing rituals so here I was paying my respect to Goddess Marriamman.. her people her followers her world I document share online.
I shot Krishna hijra dressing the Goddess replica and than moved to the beach to shoot the rituals the puja the possession where the Goddess enters the body of the head priest Ganesh and also enters the body of Krishna hijra.
Krishna has just returned from the Koovagam eunuch festival at Koothandavar in Tamilnadu close to Pudicherry .
He has promised to take me with him next year.
The piercer Raja was missing so another Raja did the piercings which were pretty painful.. I shot most of the piercings including the one of Shilpa Koli a fisherwoman with her husband Nilesh and her little daughter supporting her .

This time I shot a guy pulling a car with 4 hooks in his back opposite the Mahim church.
I did not wait for the removal of the rods but returned home midway as my feet were hurting me..
