Week 39 in 52 Weeks for Dogs; can you believe there are just 13 weeks left this year!
This week I took a simple portrait of Tasku in the autumn sunshine and then processed it in PS elements, adding a texture by distressed jewell
This is also for my processing assignment in Studio 26 so here is exactly what I did:
Cropped the original
New Layer> healing tool to remove sleep dirt from near her eye
Coffee Shop eye bright action > used eye define and brightened the eye highlight
Ran the Coffee Shop background fix action to lighten the background then removed the effect from Tasku using the mask and a soft black brush
New layer > cloned out remaining leaves and shadowy area on left
File> place > texture > blend mode > multiply >opacity 90%
Added a mask to the texture layer and partially removed from Tasku using a soft black brush at 30% opacity.

Added an Isabelle Lafrance overlay at 30% opacity

For Studio 26 processing assignment.
I've done a couple of these composites in the past and I do like the effects that can be created. It's similar to doing a double exposure in camera but much easier to get a usable image.
It's simply a silhouette of Taivas put over a shot of trees in the mist/sunshine. I resized the shot of Taivas to get the result I wanted, set the blend mode to screen and did a little cloning to remove some blue sky and cropped the final image.

This is a creation I've wanted to attempt since I saw Lily's mural of Xziva in 2012.
For Studio 26: The same steps as the 'Lappy Days' picture but I added another layer of the original brick wall texture, changed the blend mode to multiply and the opacity to 75% to try and give a bit more 'brick texture' to Taivas.
