It's week 45 in 52 Weeks for Dogs and my favourite challenge has come around again; yes, it's the 'imitation' challenge, where we get the chance to copy, and pay tribute to, a best-loved photo by another member. As always there are loads of photos that I love, but most would be impossible for me to recreate.
I have chosen Dave's photo of Eva with the playmobil dogs ("you gonna eat that"), it is a delightful and cute image. I had to buy some playmobil dogs and unfortunately couldn't find the same ones that Dave used. I've been waiting for them to arrive in the post - all the way from Malta - and today they landed on the doorstep.
Tasku isn't as well disciplined as Eva and she got through several bonio biscuits during the photoshoot, partly I think because she had no intention of sharing :o) . I struggled with poor light but didn't want to use flash - trying to be faithful to Dave's version. My result is by no means as good as the original but I think has it's own charm.

Studio 26 imitation assignment. This is one I did in October in readiness for this year's Christmas cards, it is inspired by Stefanie's no title needed from last year. (I've used it for one of this year's Christmas cards)
For my image, as my lovely Ashley is no longer here, I couldn't have her lying on a white sheet, but instead used a silhouette photo of her scampering along, took out the background and rotated it. I did a bit of cleaning up before adding the layers of lights.

My attempt to imitate Ann's 'It's Buzzling'. Taivas is as confused by the leafy section as Buzz was by the snow in his puzzle.
Also for studio 26 'imitation is the highest form of flattery' assignment.
