Week 38 in 52 Weeks for Dogs

I've had a double exposure on my ideas list for a long time, on the back burner as I had no idea how to do it. By chance I found a tutorial on YouTube and also realised that the D7000 actually has a setting for it. I have seen some really beautiful images done this way. This one (two?) shows Tasku (the shot taken against a white door) with part of an early 20th century print I have of a Finnish scene, complete with reindeer, as the second shot. It seems fitting to have Tasku 'dreaming' of the land she comes from.

Technical:
Camera on manual and in the multiple exposure setting auto gain was off. The exif data shows the settings for the first shot taken outside, for the second shot indoors I dropped the shutter speed to 1/60.

Minor tweaks to levels, brightness and contrast done in processing.

I'm still getting my head round the best way to get different effects - the second image will show through where the first image is dark and the first image will show through where the second is dark.

Last year I did a double exposure for Tasku's 52 Weeks project and have wanted to do one for Taivas for her 12 months project ever since. So here it is - this is done in camera taking two shots using the multiple exposure setting and then enhancing and adding textures in processing. First shot was of Taivas against a white wall (using off camera flash), the second shot a photo of a picture of a local pond at sunset.
Textures are by French Kiss.

Week 19 in 52 Weeks for Dogs and this week I've been playing with double exposures again. A woodland scene for the first shot then Tasku against a white wall for the second, done in camera and then the colours slightly enhanced and a very light texture added in processing.

There's a little bit of a nostalgic feel when I see the swings in the park. Part of me still wants to have a go :o)

A double exposure done in camera. I took a static shot, then had to run to the swings to get them moving, then back to a similar position for the second one. The annoying thing about Nikon's is having to take the two shots within 30 seconds.
