Standing on the upper deck of the Nieuw Amsterdam at 7:00 AM, as she pulls into Barcelona after a trans-Atlantic crossing, we are struck by the contrast between the beauty of the ship itself with Barcelona city in the distance, and the grittiness and hustle/bustle of the docksides.
