There is no content here, except: miles of ocean depth; the arrow-straight wash of the twin screws of the Nieuw Amsterdam; the sun dipping into the ocean and flooding the sky with a full colour palette; the soft hiss of the ocean against the side of the ship; the peace that comes at the end of the day at sea.

On the Nieuw Amsterday, mid-ocean. For most of us, the end of a work day might means a long commute, probably in heavy traffic or crowded public transit. And during that time, there's probably not much to look at.
This worker on the ship is between shifts, and look at what he has to relax with: a glorious sunset, a calm ocean, peace and quiet, with the only sounds being the soft hiss of the sea agains the side of the ship. That, and he's practically home!!

Almost impossible to feel stressed when relaxing >100 feet above the mid-Atlantic on the Lido Deck of the Nieuw Amsterdam. It's also humbling and a bit numbing to realize how enormous the Atlantic Ocean is. And how empty the surface appears to be - barely another ship to be seen.
We are barrelling towards Europe at a constant speed of 19 knots/hour over 7 days. (19 knots is approx. 22 MPH)
