User / Robert Warren / Cabot's Landing - Aspy Bay, Nova Scotia

This beach is where John Cabot (apparently, because no one really knows for sure) first set foot in the new world in 1497. It's on Aspy Bay, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. To the left of the picture, there is a sign warning of eroding cliffs, but in fact the "cliffs" are about 2' - 2.5' high - not really much of a danger. But this area can be very treacherous in storms and in winter.
