Info: This was taken at the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. I like the way the tree at the top frames the photo. To get the black and white perfect I always mess with the curves first. I pull up near the top and pull down near the bottom to increase the contrast. Then I used Dave's "Channel Mixer" method to put it in monochrome with 70:20:10 R:G:B.

This was definitely the MOST DIFFICULT assignment Dave and Dave have ever given. I still don't know how to make a street photo look good without color! To me, color is essential in street photos - so all I really got going for me is composition and I don't know if this lives up to the class standards. You'd think it'd be easier for me since there's all these streets here in LA!!

These are my photos in the biannual medical student and staff art show in the basement of KAM. This one is 20x30 and it's one of my favorite pictures I ever took. You can see it HERE. No one else likes it, though. Just me. Whatever. Now it's on my wall and I am happy. (The new art show will be up next week and I'm going to have more photos up - yay!)
