I went to the archives and reworked this image from Bandon Beach in Oregon. I don't go for square comps too often, but I liked the way the haystack on the upper right filled in the corner by going square. All that sits above is more clear sky, so sometimes less is more.

A strong May storm pounded the coast the day before, so this sunset the following day was the silver lining. If you enjoy photographing seascapes, take the time to get here if you can.

From Page on Hwy 89, take Hwy 98 and just before you reach the Navajo Generating Station with its three massive steam spewing towers, make a left and follow the short gravel road to the little shack to buy your 2-hour photographers' pass. Work your way down the narrow slit of this fantastic slot canyon and shoot to your heart's content.
