A week off work last week saw Max and I on a mini photography tour. Starting in London - where we picked up Ben, the three of us then ventured to the New Forest for fungi, back to home (Somerset) for a couple of days and finally ending up in rainy Cornwall.

When in Cornwall, Max and I usually go to visit the lovely late-season Ivy Mining bee colony at Bissoe. This time we were accompanied by Ben, and Sam.

These were captured with the Canon R7 using Cygnustech diffuser and flash combo.

This is a species that I have seen in and around Somerset, but there appears to be no records of it in or near Scotland; it may be one of those that is just under-recorded.
