Winter stretched itself out a bit this year, so we still have some ice floating around. Sun + ice + water - wind = endless fleeting moments of awesome tiny light shows. This is why I have waders!

The Port of Cross Village, Michigan. Really this is just waiting--as it does every year--to resume its role as the boat launch dock, but I swear if I could lift the thing I would replace it with a fresh length of bar grating and hang this on my wall. When I finally start doing art quilts, as I've insisted I'm about to for almost twenty years, this is where I'll begin.
