This was taken on Monday 29 November. The previous evening parts of West Sussex on the south coast had a light fall of snow which stayed on the ground through the night. On the Monday I cautiously made my way on foot to the nearby Pond to catch the sunrise which was really good. Much of the pond was frozen save for a small area where the Ducks and Swans congregated looking very sorry for themselves.

The picture was taken with a tripod with a Sony A77ii with a Sigma 10-20mm lens at 10mm. I took 3 shots for HDR processed in Photomatix using tone balancer for a more natural look. In Photoshop I used Topaz Clarity plugin for more detail and Topaz DeNoise..

Taken on the morning of 22 November in the sunshine after many days of thick cloud. This is a shot of New Pond on the SW edge of Midhurst, West Sussex and apparently not well known. It is off a little used narrow lane off Bepton Road. Mostly the views of the Pond are obscured by trees apart from the occasional fishing platform.

The shot was taken with a Sony A77ii with a Tamron 18-200mm at 18mm. I. took 3 shots for HDR and processed with Photomatix 6. I used Topaz Clarity to add more detail. I also used Topaz Denoise. A slight vignette was used. The processing had the effect of increasing contrast and saturation.

During my trip to Scotland in July some of the buildings I visited from the outside formed part of the The Scottish Event Campus which is where COP 26 is now being held finishing on Friday 12 November. The 2 buildings shown in the picture are 2 of the main buildings of the conference. The most notable in design on the left is called the Armadillo. Unlike in July the whole area is now behind Security Fencing

The shot was taken on 7 July. The shot was taken with a Sony A550
with a Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm. Very little processing required just some use of the heal and clone
tool to remove a distracting shadow

Chichester Cathedral hosts Luke Jerram’s touring artwork, the Museum of the Moon. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the Museum of the Moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally-lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface. The Museum of the Moon is on display at Chichester Cathedral from 25th October – 14th November 2021. I visited for an evening session on the 4 November 2021. Taken of the usually hidden back side of the Moon.

The present building of Chichester Cathedral dates back to 1108. The Spire and 2 towers have had a chequered history due to subsidence. One of the Towers and the Spire have collapsed and been rebuilt over the centuries.

I took pictures with both an SLR and a Mobile and liked this mobile shot best. Taken handheld. I used Topaz Clarity to add more detail. I also used Topaz Denoise
