The ubiquitous Naupaka kahakai plant that decorates Hawaii’s beaches and provides convenient places to throw a towel onto when you’re in the water.
Used Lightroom’s highlights, shadows, and saturation adjustments to rescue a difficult exposure, and applied a little sharpening to the leaf edges.

Called “strawberry guava” by a Hawaiian guide on the Damien Tours mule train. Pretty and doesn’t taste bad (if I’m identifying it right), but an invasive species that threatens Hawaii’s native forests. One of my personal favorites.
