Remnants of an Iceberg that originated in Greenland and became grounded in the coastal waters of Bylot Island, Nunavut, Canada. Grounded icebergs such as the one in the photo move with the rise and fall of the tide and as they melt become notoriously unstable. Venturing too close is therefore not advisable. As well, polar bears lurk in these places and there were numerous fresh tracks nearby.
