The iconic McWay Falls spills into the Pacific Ocean along the Big Sur Coast of California. I took the photograph back in December when most of the west coast experienced big swells and heavy surf.

Less tranquil than what I typically see pictured from this spot. I also wanted to capture the moment where the water from McWay Creek flowed and merged with the incoming surf. It's direct connection with the ocean is why McWay is classified as a tidal waterfall.
