Darkroom enlargement from wet plate collodion glass negative. A bit foggy, but there is hope!

Tintype challenge: how far from home can I go? Racing on my bicycle to be back in my darkroom in the basement at home before the plate dries. Travelling light with the Kodak Brownie No. 3 and a mini Gitzo tripod. Big fun!!

Trying to take tintypes a bit further from home. As I don't have a portable darkroom, I'm restricted to 5 minutes on the bicycle at most. This one is a bit overexposed at 6 seconds at f11 (Box Brownie 3A).

Toned darkroom print from collodion glass negative! Yeah!

I've made a big step on my wet plate learning curve this weekend! I prepared albumen for subbing my glass plates, and now the emulsion doesn't come off anymore. I fixed some light leaks with cotton wool and glue in my No.3 Box Brownie (which takes 9x12 cm plates) and now the fog level has come down considerably. And I printed three collodion glass negatives onto 30x40 cm. What a great weekend!
