Highway 224 following the Clackamas River reopened in the summer of 2022 after being closed in September 2020 because of massive forest fire damage. It was beautiful, in a sometimes bleak sort of way, and very interesting to see how the forest is coming back. Looking back at Google Street View imagery, this area is almost unrecognizable today.
