Richardson Homestead. Former home and studio of Alaska's fourth poet laureate John Haines. Original cabin was built by Finnish miner, Bill Tokala ca. 1913 at Banner Creek. It was disassembled and moved by Haines in 1955.
In interior Alaska a log cabin will last a good long time if it's covered with a tin roof.
