Alder.

You may think and it may look like he wants to come in the house, but really what he wants is for me to come out, preferably carrying the evening food bucket, or carrying perhaps an armload of harnesses.

Alder has never been in the house, his choice. He’s been invited, like here I opened the door for him but after a couple of sniffs he turns and runs. “Nuh-uh” is his attitude right now. He’s a village dog at heart, he's curious but the inside of the house is a great mystery to him, for now.

Also, he's a very good boy.

Celebrating Churrie's 14th birthday today and this week. Churrie came to us ten years ago from the Fairbanks Animal Shelter through the Second Chance League Husky Rescue organization. She was a great addition to our dog team and dog family. Eventually she moved to the position of lead dog. She's been retired now for about two years mostly because of some arthritis in her neck and upper back. But today she is still active and very healthy. She is also sweet and affectionate. Happy Birthday, Churrie.
