A pair of sisters recently liberated from a very bad situation. They are two year old Alaska Huskies and should have weighed at least 40 lbs but were only half that. They are in a good place now, are gaining weight quickly and will be available for adoption soon.
They are shy, and will be wary of people probably for a while and will require a gentle hand. I fell in love with them immediately and would take them home in half a heartbeat, but I just can't do that now.
They are here in a fenced area, with a doggie door to inside, but Alice is on a chain because she likes to jump the fence. Their mother was a husky and their father was a chocolate lab. I'm thinking that's a great combination for an active family dog.

Update. Still looking for a home. They are starting to come out of their shells (and doghouse). Sweet, gentle, shy and very food motivated Lab-Husky mixes. Getting healthy, putting weight on them has not been a problem. I like visiting with them, each time they are just a bit more outgoing.
