Proud of Parma Festival.

I meant to post this for the holiday. It's a T-shirt that I wore as a worker for the city back in about 1974. Now that I've taken a photo of it I guess I can throw it out. Nah!

Official uniform of the Ridgewood golf course laborer, ca. 1974. As I recall it was a very hot and humid summer, some of us boys were inclined to remove our t-shirts as we dealt with the tree trimming, ditching, greens keeping and sand trap raking in the heat of the sun. Evidently some of the women golfers complained, apparently we were some kind of distraction that affected their stroke. In protest, me and my laboring brethren tore the sleeves off of our shirts. It wasn't too long after that the Mayor reassigned us.....

Those were some good days. Our biggest concerns seemed to be the upcoming break and the girls and pepsi machine at the concession stand.
