Most of the series will be drive-by, through the windows, blind shooting and otherwise fast and opportunistic. Typically I'm not looking through the viewfinder, and I've never used the screen on the back of the camera to compose an image.

An intro of sorts to a brief series of Life at Forty Below Zero.

We've come off of what I heard was the coldest or one of the coldest Novembers on record. December so far has been even colder, and there is little break in sight. As I type the temp is -37F (yes, I mean F). Everything just takes a bit longer at these temps.

Also, sorry about the fuzzy resolution, that's Flickr. The screen capture is totally sharp in Photoshop. But I guess the default Flickr display is 500 x 800, in order to read it clearly you have to view at original size which is 662 x 1035. I'm sure there's some solution and some technical thing that is beyond me that would explain it...
