Toasty, inside the hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
I had no idea what I was shooting. The inside of the chamber (Jeanne calls it the submarine) is dim and the shot was made through a highly reflective convex plexiglass window. The shutter was slow. Toaster does not look uncomfortable, quite the contrary.
Next time I may join her inside the chamber.

We are very fortunate to have a unique and somewhat unconventional veterinarian. Her clinic is not at all clinical, instead it is very warm and homey. There are always animals around, dogs, cats, even pigs, and elders. When I bring my dogs for treatment, as soon as we walk in the door the first order of business is introductions with the resident free-running animals that "own" the place.
This trip for Toaster was very nice and relaxed. It had been five weeks since our last trip and I felt like Toaster was having a tough time during the prior week.
Dr. Olson asked if Toaster had benefited from the Adequan injection received last time. I think there is sometimes a tendency to see improvement where there isn't any, perhaps it's a natural reaction and fuels our hope. I try my best to be "objective" in my analysis and said I couldn't really see any improvement.
With that bit of information she chose not to repeat that course of treatment. Instead she administered laser heat therapy to both hips, did some electro-acupunture, and administered the usual B-12 shot.
Toaster was very comfortable on thick dog bed on floor, flanked by Jeanne, me and Jeanne's assistant Jesse, a sweet early teenage girl. Toaster just seemed to really enjoy all the specialized attention. I really liked it, so if nothing else it was good therapy for ME, as we just sat and chatted while Jeanne did her thing. We probably spent a good 40 minutes like that, and when done Toaster just remained relaxed, but alert.
Today after two days both Lenore and I noticed a change in her. She's more alert and has been up and about more and seems to be moving better. I really think her eyes are brighter.
I just hope Toaster hangs out a while longer, I'm selfish of course, want her to live forever with me, but I want her to be comfortable. Mentally she is still so sharp and her senses are alert - Jeanne even commented on that.

Toaster waits in the car as we prepare to go to the veterinarian.
I helped Toaster into the back of the car, closed the door and ran in the house to grab something I had forgotten. It was raining and when I emerged she was at the window waiting for me. I made several frames, each is different and I can't choose between them, and don't want to post them all together. I like each and every one, they're so dreamy and are really reflective of where I am at with her now.
There are no textures here, no layers, very minor adjustments and even those were made with uncertainty.
Our trip to the vet went very well, more about that later.
(I think it looks much better large on black, thank you)
