This shot not too much different than the one taken two days ago. Today Mrs. Owl poked her head out to see what was happening in the dogyard. I listened and thought I heard baby owl chirps. By the time I grabbed my camera and opened the box she was back on the nest. Sources say the chicks hatch a day apart, so there could be just one or two hatched so far.
The good news is there are at least two nice fat voles here in the box, so Mr. Owl is doing his job. I sorta wish I had a webcam, I'd love to catch him coming in with his catch.

37 Seconds. Sorry, I'm not very steady. This was last night (June 16) near 11pm.
When you see the owl looking away, that's because Sandy was with me, at my side.
