For those of you paying attention, Howie is not my dog. Dave isn't my dog either. We were both glad to get out with the dogs together, hopefully we'll get in another run before he flies south.

Belonging to Michael Telpin a Native Chukchi of Chukotka, Russia (Siberia) and participant in this years 1000 mile Yukon Quest International sled dog race, which had its start in Fairbanks on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
To me these were among the most striking and beautiful dogs I saw at the start of the race on Saturday. True Northern dogs.
