Name's Pepsi. I wasn't looking for a dog. But then Lia has returned to her owner,
so there was some room.
She comes from the same kennel as Beluga, and with a similar story. She's
middle aged, 6 years, and was no longer happy or fast enough to keep up with
the rest of her team on longer runs. Her owner said, "I hate to see her on a chain."
So I said I'd run her for the rest of the season, with the option to adopt her or return
her. Uh, I kinda know how these things work out. She made it to Nome (Iditarod)
two years ago, so maybe she can teach me a thing or two.
She's a real sweetheart. No aggression issues. I've run her three times now and
she's a very strong puller and also runs well in lead. She's adapting quickly to the
life of BeingThere, and is also learning about a free run kennel. She seems happy
and very well adjusted. I like her.
So far she's pretty shy around the camera.
