Kelly Point has become one of my favourite Portland area parks, especially as a destination with the dogs. Kelly Point (and the park) is at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers with frontage on both. It is in the midst of a heavily industrialized and intermodal transport area. I’m amazed it has survived as a bit of nature amongst all the steel and concrete, the docks and warehouses and the constant comings and goings of foreign ships, regional barges and domestic trains.
I’ll probably be posting a rather lengthy series from this place on this day. It was for me one of those days where everything just seems to be working and everywhere you look there is a photograph. Of course I’ve had those before, we must all have them, and then get home and everything looks different on the computer. But this time I was able to capture a few good images, or at least images that I like. So, thank you.
