I'm not really into roadkill photography, but I was driving down North Greeley Ave, when I caught sight of what I first thought was a dead cat in the road. I thought, "that's wrong," and did a U-turn in order to move it out of the street and maybe post something on NextDoor for whomever might be missing their pet. Obviously not a cat, I decided to take the photo because someone took the time to lay down the tulips; which I took as a sign of grief and respect. As I prepared to drive off I noticed a house with a yard full of spring tulips blooming out front. This might fall into the category of what my wife calls "a Portland day."
