I think this is a logging road, up ahead is a crossing of the Alaska Railroad, but our trail veered Gee and we followed the tracks for a little ways. Besides the long shadows here I was impressed with the way the late afternoon light reflected off the lighter dog coats onto the trail. It was a perfect day for mushing with temps in the minus 10 - minus 15 range and plenty of light. The harsh light does make for challenging photo conditions.
