This is Bran Castle in Romania, famous for the Dracula myth. It sits atop a hill like most castles in the area, and is quite the tourist attraction. Most of the castle is open to the public, and is very commercialized (gift shop within and rather large bazaar right below).
Fun place, but I actually liked Rasnov Castle better. :)

I spent a day at Barrie's lakefront, and this is the best duck photo that resulted. I'm not sure what it is about Mallards at the lakeshore, but they always catch my eye.
It feels good to use my 100-400L lens again! Best viewed large, by the way.
