Our last trip took us to Vanuatu where we had the opportunity to visit Mount Yasur, an active volcano. We were staying in the highlands 20km away. From there we could see constant plumes of smoke rising from the crater - this shot in the early morning with dawn light hitting the dense forest around the village we were staying in.

I was looking back through my flickr albums and noticed that I hadn't uploaded much from our 2019 Vanuatu trip. Our visit to the active Volcano Yasur was definitely one the highights, especially during nervous moment of lava spewing out such as this!
