The end of a dream.
I've just come back from a trip to the North Island which started off with a hospital stay for appendicitis (and surgery!). The rest of the trip wasn't a complete write off despite not being able to hike anywhere. I hope I'll have some compelling images nonetheless!

I was curious to see this location at sunset light - unfortunately after this late afternoon light, the sun vanished behind a thick band of cloud. The way the scene had been playing out makes me more determined to come back here in the future at another sunset!
