We are just back from a one week family holiday on the south coast of Fleurieu peninsula. Mostly clear skies but the odd day of light breaking through interesting clouds. This was one of those clear sky occasions.

Port Elliot

Being at Port Elliot for a week meant that I could explore the area in much more detail than a rushed morning shoot trying to head back to Adelaide for the kids' morning routine. Marianne and I went for a stroll while family were at home with sleeping kids at our accommodation 5 minutes away. Christmas eve looked overcast but from this moment in the evening, started to light up! More from the series to come

Kings Beach

The waves roar over this particular stretch of coast between Petrel Cove and Kings Beach. I shot this from the cover of 2 rock ledges but there was still the occasional splatter of a big one rising over.

Knight's Beach
South Australia
This spot reminded me of many images of Thor's well on the Oregon coast. Nowhere near as dramatic but still a great spot to capture wave action thanks to the shape of the coastline. Behind me, there are usually a group of body boarders doing their stuff!
