Waitomo Caves
New Zealand
This image was taken in the spellbound glow worm caves (off bounds to normal tour proceedings). One image for the glow worms in the dark (and they are very dim compared to stars!), one for some light painting of the cave, and one with me flashing backward with the flash at minimum. It was very challenging to shoot in there with recent rains causing dripping and mist in the cave and 100% humidity.

....at Egmont national park and visit the Pouakai tarns! we're moving on again tomorrow to the Corromandel area . The debate of north island vs south island ....they are different, most say south is better but it is just different.

Mt Ngauruhoe
New Zealand
I will post more about our recent trip on a blog post later. The brief story is that after 2 out and backs in 2 days from Tongariro, I nearly gave up hope but finally the skies cleared for a brilliant hour including visibility of Mt Doom albeit snow covered still.

A glimpse into our trip into NZ which will sadly come to an end in one weeks time. I haven't had much time to edit on the fly with the kids and when I do, I know I'm going to have to redo at home anyway. Here is a version of the canyon with a long name in the Whirinaki forest as a teaser until we get back for proper edits! :P
(ps the canyon is called Te Whaiti Nui a toi)
