Merredin,
Western Australia
Just north of the town of Merredin lie a group of old WWII bunkers in open fields. At the time this was shot, the milky was very high overhead with a moon soon to rise. I ended up having to re process the pano twice (once for the milky way and once for a straight horizon) as the final stitch on a single version in PTGui either ended up looking box shaped with a flat horizon , or U shaped with a bowed milky way. The lighting was done after the pano was taken with a separate frame and longer exposure.

Bruce Rock
Western Australia
The canola in the west was amazing! I excluded the sky from this composition because it was dull grey - This was taken as we were leaving the WAPF conference in Merredin where we had a very successful weekend as speakers :)

Cottesloe Beach
Western Australia
This was one of those shoots where I was hoping for just a slight break in the clouds which would have made this scene absolutely spectacular. Nonetheless, the muted light was nice for this kind of composition in the long run I think. Having Plan B for bad weather is always important - I shot this from under the famous SLSC with a long lens.

Crawley Boat shed
Perth, Western Australia
Yep, this shed has been photographed many a time by photographers all around the place. In fact, it was the subject of the #1 and #2 images in last year's International Loupe Awards (Luke Austen and Adam Wiliams). On a whirlwind visit to the west, I had to check it out! This was my version on a cloudless still morning.
