I've been absent from flickr of late as Marianne and I have had alot of wedding work in the last few weeks and have 2 more weddings before the end of the 2011-12 season! We think it has been our most fun and rewarding wedding season to date with the variety of people, cultures and traditions we've observed. Everyone has been universally friendly to us and we hope we have reciprocated the attitude ;) this scene was taken at a Vietnamese wedding at the groom's house.
Safety warning : it's not advisable to be as close to those firecrackers as I was for the series shown here - flying bits of flame etc. and in my naivety, I was lucky that none of them hit me or the lens!
