Soaking in the Nostalgia......still!!

After 15 years, the answer is not to obviously wear them too much. I started wearing them the moment they first became available in this country which i think was in the 60s. I had them in all the available colours then, black, blue, green, red white unlike the vast amount of designs now. When growing up in that time we relished anything that came from the USA with their great designs and snappy logos far more superior than anything you got from Woolworths or the Co-op.The original Levi jeans were made from canvas and stood up on their own unlike the flannel like material you get now. The fashion was to shrink them to fit wearing them in the bath. There was also decisions to make as to what American comics you were going to read and remain faithful to, was it DC or Marvel, Batman, Superman, the Hulk or Spiderman. I was strictly DC as it was just a matter of taste in graphics and i preferred some of the wacky way out super heroes they had such as Tomahawk (check that one out!!) and Hawkman. American sports never really took off here when i was a kid only some a bit later on, Baseball and Ice Hockey was the only ones that made it for me, i still have my Micky Vernon Tru-Trap mitt made by Wilson hanging up behind me, plus a New Jersey Devils home top with Martin Brodeur on the back, my favourite player and goalkeeper. In 1968 Chuck Taylor the man who co designed the most famous athletic shoe in history, went into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Only a year later he died from a heart attack in Florida.Shame he didn't get to see how big and famous the product got, with his name on it.
Those were the days.
