Εκατέρωθεν του εθνικού δρόμου Τρικάλων-Λαρίσης,
ειδκότερα στην διαδρομή μεταξύ Ζάρκου και Φαρκαδόνας οι πεδινές εκτάσεις διακόπτονται από
χαμηλούς ή υψηλότερους λοφίσκους κάνοντας ενδιαφέρουσα την γεωμορφολογία του τοπίου.
Το ενδιαφέρον αυξάνεται κατακόρυφα όταν συνειδητοποιήσει ο περαστικός ταξιδιώτης ότι πρόκειται στην ουσία για έναν εκτεταμένο λειμώνα όπου η κτηνοτροφία πραγματοποιείται με τον πλέον παραδοσιακό τρόπο.
Μικρά ή μεγαλύτερα μετακινούμενα κοπάδια αιγοπροβάτων ή αγελάδων οδηγούμενα από ογκώδεις και μυώδεις ποιμενικούς,συνοδευόμενα από πεζούς ή έφιππους ποιμένες διασχίζουν τις πεδινές εκτάσεις ή σκαρφαλώνουν στους προαναφερθέντες λοφίσκους,άλλοτε κατάφυτους,άλλοτε κατάξερους και άλλοτε κακοτράχαλους λόγω της πετρώδους υφής τους χαρίζοντας στον εναργέστερο παρατηρητή εικόνες σπανίας πιά γραφικότητος αν και όλα αυτά εκτυλλίσσονται λίγα μόλις μέτρα από τον εθνικό δρόμο.
Η περαιτέρω προσέγγιση ενός επίδοξου φωτογράφου-καταγραφέα αυτών των πολύ ειδυλλιακών σκηνών μπορεί από άποψη προσβασιμότητας να μην παρουσιάζει δυσκολίες αλλά απαιτεί ιδιαίτερη προσοχή και καλές…δημόσιες σχέσεις με τους βοσκούς ώστε να…διαμεσολαβήσουν για τις αγαθές μας προθέσεις στους φύλακες των κοπαδιών τους οι οποίοι κάθε άλλο παρά…. καλοπροαίρετοι είναι.
Οι φωτογραφίες οι οποίες προέκυψαν είναι αποτέλεσμα των αρκετά συχνών, λόγω γειτνίασης με τον χωριό όπου και διαμένω, επισκέψεών μου στην περιοχή.
Αυτός είναι ο λόγος για τον οποίο το συγκεκριμένο είναι το album με την δυνητικά μεγαλύτερη επεκτασιμότητα.

Next to the Trikala-Larisis national road,in particular on the route between Zarkos and Farkadona the lowlands are cut offlow or higher hills making the geomorphology of the landscape interesting.
The interest rises sharply when the passer-by realizes that this is essentially an extensive pasture where livestock farming is done in the most traditional way.
Small or larger removable herds of sheep and goats or cows driven by massive and muscular shepherd's dogs, accompanied by pedestrians or equine shepherds cross the lowlands or climb the aforementioned hills, sometimes overgrown, sometimes parched and sometimes rugged because of their stony texture, giving the latter observer rare images of scenery, though they are all only a few yards off the highway.

Further approaching of an aspiring photographer-recorder of these very idyllic scenes may not be difficult in terms of accessibility but it requires special attention and good… public relations with the shepherds to… mediate for our good intentions to their herd keepers who each other than…. they are good-natured.
My photos from there are the result of quite frequent visits to the area due to the proximity to the village where I live.That's why that is the album with the most potential to be expanded.
