Did you ever miss a train because of taking photos? I'm glad to say that the train in the picture is not the one we missed. However, I also have a picture of the train that we DID miss (taken on a different day)

Fantastic light that evening night in the town of Jyderup in Denmark. The temperature was perfect and the atmosphere was fabulous. I came back to this particular location quite a few times, in different light.
This is a vertorama (vertical panorama). The Magic Cloth Technique was used for the upper shot. Taken with the new EF-S 18-55mm IS STM.

Horrendous weather, absolutely horrendous. Really bad, bad winds, and rain. Not to mention the sand. Image composition was a case of "take it or leave it" without thinking 'through the lens'. This was pretty extreme shooting - not to mention the particular condition of that lighthouse (and right behind my back there was a pretty steep cliff)
Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse in Denmark was raised in 1899. Shifting sands and coastal erosion have led to the building being finally abandoned in 2002. It is expected that the tower will fall into the sea by 2023.

As far north in Denmark as you can go. I really don't know what was the point with the pirate flag - maybe somebody can inform me :) Magic Cloth Technique for the sky. The lens is the very recent EF-S 18-55mm STM.

This eagle is native to the mountainous regions of Africa and even Asia. The eagle can be recognized by a V-shaped white mark on the black back. The name commemorates the French naturalist Jules Verreaux who visited southern Africa in the early 18th century.
Verreaux's Eagles hunt by swooping around the corners of cliffs and thus suddenly surprising the prey. It also stoops from a perch; although this method is used less often.
Here it was photographed in the Eagle World park in Denmark. It's a female and her name is Sheba. When Sheba arrived to the Eagle park she couldn't fly and was very overweight. With intensive training she is now in a good physical conditions and flies effortlessly great distances around the park.
Verreaux's Eagles are very territorial and are often seen flying in pairs. They mate for life and is a specialist hunter of hyrax mammals on 4-5kg.
