The weather was benevolent. It treated us well all day long :)

We noticed swans on flight coming to the water in this place. Had we stayed there long enough, I'm sure we'd have succeeded in getting some good shots of the actual water landing. I'm content with this beautiful landscape though.

If you look carefully, you can see some swans flying, and others on the lake.

with my brand new 0.9 grad filter, in its maiden voyage.
And then, clumsy me, I lost it two hours later - I could not find it though I tried hard.
Just like Titanic... lost in its maiden voyage.

It makes one want to write poetry, really. The silence... the beauty of this place at this particular moment... words cannot explain.

The lighthouse at the southern-most point in Iceland, Dyrhólaey. Built in 1927. I wonder if this is what's called Art Deco style (I think it is)

A most magnificent glacier, that of Vatnajökull, which is in size larger than all other European glaciers together, is reflected on a little pond where grass straws grow.

Autumnal gold in a blue bundle. Quite a nice combination of colors.

The animals in the distances turned out to be, not reindeer, as we had hoped for, but sheep. Sheep are cool animals as well.

Or around the c-HORN-er. Corner!

A comment on morphology (for a change). Horn + Corner are the same word:

"One of the most interesting sound shifts is the Indo-European “k-” sound. It remained the same into Latin — but became an almost-silent “h-” in [evolved languages]"

"[...] as German evolved into English, “k-” generally became the “h-” sound in English"
