This image was taken at the National Park of Snæfellsjökull, in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula (Iceland).

I find it quite interesting to see the scars of previous volcanic eruptions.

I look at that layer of solid rock that cracked at some point, revealing that it was hollow beneath it, and I start to wonder if there might be some nearby secret lava tunnels that have not been discovered yet.

It also makes me think of Jules Verne and his "Journey to the Center of the Earth". There are probably lots of possible adventures in the area. Specially for photographers!

The mountains in the distance are Hreggnasi, Miðfell and then the volcano and glacier Snæfellsjökull itself.
