Persistence pays off! :-D Our village's Barn Owls seem to be a bit late breeding this year (probably weather induced) and the recent breezy weather really seems to have limited their hunting in the evenings, when I've been out to watch them. Fortunately on Saturday evening, I got a combination of good light and a dropping breeze, which brought an Owl out virtually "on cue". I even managed to get it in focus (I'm claiming practice is paying off, but luck plays its part!). Added a pic below where it had caught a Vole and was heading nest-ward

Hares can be frustrating animals to try to photograph. Sometimes they come closer and closer, then veer off in the opposite direction. Sometimes they get far too close and other times they just wander off into the longer greenery. This one had done the latter, so I went to get back in my car. Then I turned back and from "nowhere" it was coming up the top of the field behind me. Just managed to get this (shot through some long but sparse stalks of grass) before it noticed me and changed direction :-)

Bored during a 2 1/2 hr wait at the hospital while my better half had a procedure done, I was taken by the eerily empty corridor to my left and set about trying to photograph it with my phone cam. Not a genre I have any experience with really but I kinda liked this one
