My first ever solar eclipse and so exciting sharing the time with Roberta, Cort and Linda. So many other people on location, enjoying every minute of the show.
Processing was easy and had fun creating this composite. Individual eclipse phases were shot with a 400mm lens using a solar 18 stop filter.
We were in northern New Mexico near the Central Line in a beautiful location with near perfect weather and a clear cloudless sky.
The partial Ring of Fire Eclipse started about 09:04 (Mountain Daylight Savings Time), peaked at roughly 10:37 and ended about 12:05. Such a simple thing to watch yet it captivated my attention, and so many others, for the entire three hours. The total solar eclipse is coming April 8, 2024, determine the best location and get it on your calendar.
