Guards celebrated St David’s Day with a parade at their barracks in Pirbright.
Major General Benjamin Bathurst, General Officer Commanding Headquarters London District, was Guest of Honour and Inspecting Officer as the fifth regiment of Foot Guards celebrated their national day in traditional style.

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment prepare as The Queen’s mounted bodyguard parade in Hyde Park to prove their readiness for another busy summer of pageantry.
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment will be put through their paces during their annual inspection by Major General Ben Bathurst the General Officer Commanding the Army in London and the Queen’s Household Troops.
The Major General’s Inspection is the annual test of the regiment’s ability to conduct state ceremonial duties for the year. During the parade over 150 men and horses will trot and canter across the grass of Hyde Park in a display of military mounted precision, distracting morning commuters and attracting flocks of tourists.

Pictured is a young soldier from 3PWRR sets his sights on the enemy and remains focussed and determined.
Known for being the U. S’s largest multinational live fire exercise, Exercise Northern Strike has been privileged with the company of 3rd Battalion the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (3 PWRR) widely known as ‘The Tigers’ on their annual multinational event.
140 Reservists from Kent, Surrey and Sussex have put their civilian jobs aside for their annual two weeks training exercise which has been greatly welcomed and is being enjoyed by all.
The exercise is providing accessible readiness building opportunities for all forces involved.
British and American troops have been being mixed together in their Platoons to train and develop their interoperability skills in preparation for future conflicts. They have been practicing some essential skills, which have included advancing forward in difficult and wooded terrain under fierce enemy fire with the aim to push them back in order to continue their advanced.
